It isn't easy to build a strong community. Many event organizers work to bring people together for Drupal. Community Cultivation Grants are one tool to make the work a little easier. With a grant, you can strengthen the local community. You can help drive the adoption of Drupal.

Drupal Association members fund these grants. A few grant recipients have told us their stories. I'd like to share more about what has happened since the grants were awarded.

Today we launch the membership campaign focused on the Drupal Association Community Cultivation Grants program. Association members fund grants to kickstart community-strengthening projects around the world.

The campaign runs through October 28 and our goals are 265 new members signed up and $10,918 in revenue. These are a 10% increase over the same period of time last year.

Thank you, to everyone who participated in our 2016 certificate campaign. We sent a personalized certificate to everyone who joined or renewed their Association membership. We also asked members to help boost our outreach by encouraging others to join or renew. These contributions matter. The funds you helped raise support the Association’s work, and your goodwill inspires us. Whether you became a member for the first-time, renewed, or took the time to share, you made the campaign a success.

Today we begin our first membership campaign of the year. It’s all about making your contribution official with a personalized certificate of membership.

In our 4th year of running this campaign, we hope that you will help us by either joining the Drupal Association or by letting others know about this opportunity. Members who join or renew from now through June 30 will be sent a certificate. Our goal is to send 675 certificates, which is a 10% increase from last year’s final count.

From October 13 to December 30, 2015, we ran our biggest membership drive campaign ever. We did a lot of experimenting and I want to share some results and learnings with you.

But first, I'll tell you about our program. Drupal Association membership is for anyone who uses Drupal, and anyone who wants to support our community and the project through a donation of membership dues. Membership is one way to contribute to Drupal, but it is by no means the only way.
