Drupal.org downtime: 31st of October 2013, 15:00 UTC (08:00am PDT)

The Drupal.org D7 upgrade launch is confirmed. Today is Monday, 28th of October, we have 0 launch blocking issues and performance tests are looking fine. Therefore, we are going to launch on Thursday, October 31st, 2013.

Drupal Association Board Meeting: October 16, 2013

Last Wednesday we held our October Board Meeting, with a pretty quiet public agenda. 'Tis the season for developing 2014 budgets and workplans, so we spent most of our meeting time in Executive session covering those topics. Once approved, of course, we will share with you. But until then, here are few of the issues we covered that you should know about.

Friday, 4 October was the first First Friday Sprint - also known as the D8 Contrib Sprint Initiative (CSI) as announced at the opening ceremony of the Prague Con.

Drupal.org Drupal 7 upgrade going live, prospective launch date and downtime

After a month-long Community QA, we are getting ready to deploy Drupal.org D7 upgrade. During the last couple of weeks we were limiting the number of ‘to-do before launch’ issues to those that are absolutely essential. Currently our launch blocker list consists of the 12 open issues.

We took a look at the upcoming Drupal events to find a quiet week, which won’t interfere with major camps and sprints, and..

Drupal Association Board Meeting Tomorrow

I know what you're thinking. Hey - wait a minute! We just had one of those board meetings! It's true, our last board meeting was just a few weeks ago in Prague. It was exciting too! we got an update from the Software Working Group and we confirmed our At-Large community-elected board members.

1 Million Users on Drupal.org!

If you have been on Drupal.org today, you may have noticed something interesting near the bottom of the page. At some point during the past 24 hours, the millionth user joined Drupal.org!

Drupal.org Working Groups: September updates

The most important event of September was of course DrupalCon Prague. 10 out of 12 members of the Drupal.org Working Groups were there. We finally got to meet each other and work together in person! This means that we spent huge part of the week locked in a meeting room, but.. we had a great time and got a lot done.

DrupalCon CXO: Growing Drupal Businesses

DrupalCons are designed to serve many types of community members through various tracks and special events. And, one group the event serves is the Drupal Business Owner, important because their companies provide community members with careers, they help grow Drupal adoption one client at a time, and they innovate the Project with their contributions.
