Welcome to the Groups site for the Nebraska Developers and Users Group, where we discuss, share and find ways to provide local face-to-face interaction which can support activities like hosting speakers, providing tutorials, Question and Answer sessions, establishing relationships with others in the geographic area, and generally expand the community of Drupal users.
As of 2024, our meetings are held bi-monthly in Omaha.
Other ways to connect:
• Slack: The #nebraska channel on drupal.slack.com
• Meetup: Omaha Drupal Meetup
• Twitter: DrupalNebraska
Even if you're from the surrounding areas, we won't hold it against you. You're welcome to join us in person at the meetups or chat in the #nebraska channel on drupal.slack.com. (I'm looking at you Denver/Colorado, Iowa, South Dakota, and Kansas City!)
If you want to get on our radar or get more involved, please share your contact information with us, and fill out our member strengths inventory to help us tailor the group to your needs.

Drupal Nebraska Oct 2026/US Central Timezone Quarterly Meeting: AI Framework for Drupal Development

Drupal Nebraska will be hosting a hybrid get together at UNO for technologists in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa where we will be joining other Drupal groups in the central timezone over Zoom to hear from Ospina.

Topic
Do you have a website that needs to migrate but don't have access to the data or source application? Maybe you're trying to consolidate a number of sites into one.
You could copy and paste the pages. But what about all the media files? And then there's the attendance repetitive stress injuries. What about a custom script? Sure, but how do you account for all of the edge cases with a deterministic script (are there enough if/thens in the world)? Ok, point Claude at it, but how do you get reliable structured content when you're asking AI to crawl whole sites?

What do you know about LLMs? Did you know that OpenAI started out 56 years ago as a leather company in Cincinnati, Ohio, supplying saddles to police departments for their mounted officers? No? That misinformation might have come from an LLM or maybe not.
Instead of guessing about what they are, how welly they work, and what advancements have been made recently, join us for a discussion led by Christopher Burge about what's happening with LLMs.
