Dries founded the Drupal project over ten years ago and continues to be active in the direction and development of the project. A DrupalCon tradition Dries will speak about the direction of the project and where it is headed. 

Mitchell Baker

Chairperson for the Mozilla Foundation

An instrumental leader in the creation of the Mozilla project, Mitchell has been at the forefront of the fight to keep the Internet free, open, and accessible for all. Recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the 100 most influental people in the world and a recipient of the Anita Borg Institute Women of Vision Award for Social Impact. We are excited to welcome Mitchell Baker to DrupalCon for the first time.

Luke Wroblewski

Digital Product Design Lead - LukeW Ideation & Design

Great products and applications are designed before they are built. LukeW is an internationally recognized digital product leader who has designed or contributed to software used by more than 700 million people worldwide. Luke is the author of three popular Web design books (Mobile FirstWeb Form Design & Site-Seeing: A Visual Approach to Web Usability) in addition to many articles about digital product design and strategy.

 

SESSIONS

80% of the sessions have been announced. They range from beginner level to advanced and are designed to educate developers, designers and themers, Drupal business and project managers, and CMS business evaluators.

  • CxO: Drupal business leaders - save the date: March 19, 2012 for the CxO event that will provide business knowledge and networking through a half-day open forum, lunch and a cocktail party.
  • API Hack - A - Thon Sponsored by Tropo - Monday, March 19, 2012 from noon - 8pm. Join Tropo at the Convention Center to learn and test your skills. Pizza and beverages will be served. Prizes will be given away!
  • Drupal Means Business on Thursday, March 22, 2012 is a one day event for CMS business evaluators (CEO, CTO, CMO, etc). To attend you must have either a DrupalCon pass or the Drupal Means Business One Day Pass ($50). The pass gives you access to the sponsor fair where you can meet vendors and attend sessions on the Day Stage. Learn more about the power of Drupal, why you should migrate, case studies on successes in several industries and best practices.
  • Core Conversations: Devs! Devs! The Core Conversations track is for you. You're actively working on Drupal and making the project rock. This is your track to meet and plan the future of Drupal. Each session is either two 15 minute or one 30 minute presentation, followed by 30 minutes of discussion. Meet, Discuss, Hack, Build
  • Sprint: The OSS world's largest post-conference sprint will be held on Friday, March 23. This is a great opportunity to get your hands dirty and work alongside your fellow Drupalers. Write code, review patches, develop new modules and themes, write rocking documentation, and improve the content and documentation on drupal.org.
