Drupal Summit

Acquia did a business summit.  Megan flew to the Drupal summits to meet the companies that were connected to Drupal.  We got to hear what the businesses were looking for from Drupal.  Acquia business summit is something that Drupal Association would like to use as a model for future similar events.

Employee Medical Insurance

Discussed group insurance policies and the inability to provide  group insurance to employees due to not having a single office location.  Conversation turned to an appropriate level of compensation for an employee's medical benefits.  After 30 minutes of discussion, a per- employee amount was decided upon to provide individual health insurance plans.

Gifts

Cary and Jacob received gifts from companies we use.  We need a policy that we do not accept gifts over a certain value.

Motion

No Drupal board member should accept from a vendor of the association or a potential vendor of the association any gift in excess of 50 dollars or gifts in aggregate, over the calendar year exceeding 150 dollars.

This was tabled because of wording.

QR Codes

DrupalCon Chicago would like to put QR codes on the badges of the DrupalCon attendees.  Discussion on what information should be put on the QR codes ensued.

Vote:

Allow the DrupalCon badge to have a QR code that could contain the First and the Last name, company name of the individual, the email address, website url, phone number, and city state.  This information would come from the registration information.

Result:
Motion passed
