Drupal.org redesign RFP selection

A discussion ensued about voting requirements as they relate to the statutes. For this meeting, Dries put the three agenda items to a vote using the Condorcet Internet Voting Service (CIVS). This style of voting allows for a more democractic process, as choices are ranked in order of preference rather than a single choices.

However, Gerhard brought up that our statutes require a majority vote. It was decided to do two rounds of voting: One informal via CIVS, and one as a majority to accept the results.

CIVS VOTE: Rank the different design firms that made it through the RFC process.

VOTE Do we want to select 'Mark Boulton Design' as the winning firm for the drupal.org redesign?
(ACCEPTED 8 yes, 0 no, 0 abstain)

Drupal.org upgrade: where to go from here?

The next agenda item is how to address the current stalemate on upgrading Drupal.org.

CIVS Vote: What should be the first next step (not long-term solution) for the Drupal.org upgrade? Results

VOTE Do we want to privately express our concerns with the project module maintainers?
(ACCEPTED 6 yes, 2 no, 0 abstain)

Drupal security team: how can the Drupal Association support it?

Due to time constraints, this was kept to an informal poll rather than an official vote, with no discussion.

Civs POLL

Results:

1. Tied:
* Pay someone to help the Drupal security team on a part time basis
* Pay someone to contribute better tools for the security team (one-time cost)
* Pay a content creator to educate the community through blog posts or videos on Drupal security
4. Help bootstrap an ecosystem of Drupal security experts
5. Do nothing, this is outside of the DA's scope

Drupalcon Szeged needs help raising funds

Jacob provided a very brief summary of where Drupalcon Szeged currently stands:

Drupalcon Szeged stands to lose 20K Euro due to lackluster sponsorship and attendance rates.

Association members tried to figure out why this might be (low dollar rate, lack of European clients in North American firms, etc.) Not a lot of concrete ideas on how to address the problem, however. Drupal Planet blogging was discussed, as well as a front page post on drupal.org.
