The Drupal community is vast with so many individuals focusing on different aspects of the Project and the Drupal Association wants to support all of the community’s needs. We’ve begun by identifying different personas that range from developer and site builder to community and camp leaders and we are rounding out our resources and programs to support each group. For example, DrupalCon content is expanding to serve site owners and CMS evaluators next year, persona-centric Drupal.org landing pages are making their way to the limelight, and we launched a webinar series to provide pro-tips to community and camp leaders.

And now we are hiring a Drupal Business Community Manager to foster and support the Drupal business community, who are so vital to the Project and Drupal’s adoption in the marketplace. There are so many web development agencies, digital agencies and training companies we don’t even know yet and so many businesses that are not aware of programs and resources available to help their business. And many who don’t know how to give back to the community, but want to.

The candidate will bridge that gap and create even more programs to support the business community. Additionally, the position is a sales role, so while the candidate is engaging with businesses, he or she will explain how programs like DrupalCon sponsorships and the Supporting Partner Program can them help achieve their goals. Have no fear, we use a soft sales approach and all sales fund community programs.
