I’m very excited to welcome two new members to the DA staff. These new staff members will have an immediate and direct impact on supporting and growing the Drupal community through DrupalCons, global training events and effective communication to the community and beyond. Please help me welcome:

Stephanie Torres, Community Program Manager

Stephanie joins us from a 6 and a half year stint with the Portland Business Journal where she planned and managed over 30 events per year. Stephanie will be producing DrupalCon events in the U.S. and Europe, overseeing Global Training Days and moderating webinars.

Joe Saylor, Membership & MarComm Manager

Joe has a deep background in strategic communications for a myriad of electronics and software products and technologies. His experience includes communications and membership work with the USB Implementers Forum, PCI-SIG and other global technology associations. He will be cultivating and growing the community through the DA membership program and strategic communications campaigns.

Stephanie and Joe complement the great staff we have in place at the DA, and they couldn’t have arrived at a better time. As I chronicled in a previous blog post, we are moving fast with DrupalCon Portland and initiatives that include changes to D.O and updates to the membership program.

We have many great things to accomplish and we’re excited for the journey with our new team. Please welcome Stephanie and Joe!
