In 2005 drupal.org was failing. Growing rapidly, the site competed for resources on a shared server and without full-time support it became a target for hackers. Drupal.org may not be what it is today without early support from Sun Microsystems, the financial donations of hundreds of Drupal users, and generous support from Oregon State University’s Open Source Lab (OSUOSL). Since 2005 OSUOSL has hosted drupal.org fostering its growth from a small site supporting a few hundred developers to one that serves over 2 million people and delivers over 10 terabytes of data every month!

Without OSUOSL’s support and expertise through the years drupal.org could not have scaled to support the community we have today.

Seven years after their initial support we’re excited to announce that we are entering into a new monthly agreement with OSUOSL to support them with over $6,000 per month, up from our $15,000 annual donation.

It’s a testament to the maturity and strength of our community that we are able to provide sustainable, recurring support to an organization that had faith and trust in us from the very beginning. Thank you OSUOSL!

This contribution would not be possible without the generous support of the DA members and Supporting Partners. Thank you for your support!
