It's been a month since I posted my Conflict-of-Interest complaint on the Drupal Association's g.d.o. page, and while I am happy to see that there have been some positive changes happening within the DA, I have not heard of anything that suggests that these charges have been dealt with in any truly meaningful way. So, I would like to file an official COI violation complaint. Can you please explain the best way to go about doing this? I intend to push forward with this using official channels until "all avenues are exhausted", and this certainly feels like the last avenue to me.

I'd also like to suggest that the meeting minutes from the questionable vote be "un-cleaned" and the full vote made public. I have the wording and published it in the past, but I would like the DA to truly come clean about this vote. In addition to un-cleaning the wording I also would like the Chicago proposal, which was voted on at the same time, made public.

Also, I'm happy that we've finally put to bed the tired (and barely plausible) argument that DCI wasn't controlled by the Drupal Association. Now we can focus on the 501(c)3, which has a much clearer set of ethical guidelines and laws surrounding their operation.

Thanks for your time- I look forward to your response.

Alex,

The Conflict of Interest Committee (COIC) was formed specifically to deal with any potential or perceived conflicts of interest. This group was formed as an independent body to review the situation to ensure that the Association is operating ethically and without real or perceived conflicts of interest. To date you are the first community member that I am aware of to raise a potential conflict of interest issue with the Association so there is not a formal external process in place. However, the COIC has met several times and they do have a formal internal process for working and reporting.

My suggestion is for you and anyone else that would like to raise a potential conflict of interest is to contact us directly using the contact form and request a meeting with the COIC. You may also contact the individual members in private to raise any issues. Internally the issue will be documented and reported on.
