Prague astronomical clock

The good news is there is a tremendous amount of buzz and excitement building for DrupalCon Prague! The unfortunate news is the website is still not live, which means we haven’t been able open up registration or call for papers. We wanted to let you know there is a lot of work being done to make DrupalCon Prague an awesome event, and that we are working hard to get the website up. We also want to thank you for your patience with the website, and provide a few details that will help you plan for the event. First, a few questions and answers.

Is Prague happening? Yes! DrupalCon Prague is happening. The planning team is hard at work getting everything ready, and the only thing missing is the website.

Why isn’t the site up yet? As you may know we recently took steps to improve security of the infrastructure for Drupal.org and reset passwords for all Drupal.org profiles. Those important and necessary actions consumed a significant amount of resources that otherwise would have gone toward the DrupalCon Prague site.

When will it be up? We estimate the site will be up by Friday the 21 June, 16:00 CEST at the latest.  When it does go live we will announce it here on the blog and our social media channels. If you are on Twitter, you can follow @DrupalCon for the latest information. When the site is up it will have all the details you need to know about the event, location, logistics and call for content.

What about scholarships? Has the call closed? Scholarship applications have not opened yet. As soon as the site is live, you will be able to apply for a scholarship.

In the meantime, we encourage you to book your flight and hotel, and find out more about the venue for the event. Be sure to book for the weekends before and after the conference if you're a sprinter!

The official DrupalCon Prague hotel is the Corinthia and you can register for a room here.

The event will be held at the Prague Congress Centre.

DrupalCon Prague is 23-27 September in Prague, Czech Republic. Learn more at prague2013.drupal.org.

Thank you again for your patience. We are excited to see you in the beautiful city of Prague! If you have any questions, please email prague@drupalcon.zendesk.com

Thanks for the update — for some of us in can take a while to get the funding for the ticket OK'd, so it would be helpful if we could get a firm quote on early-bird price and normal price so we can submit requests to the burecracy on high.
