Bio

Zack started the “DeanSpace" project, a Drupal based community organizing system used by grassroots groups during the Howard Dean presidential campaign. He then took a job at the Howard Dean campaign head-quarters to work as a web-developer and technical volunteer coordinator. He was responsible for servicing the web-technology needs of the state campaign offices, constituency groups, and grassroots web developers. Afterwards he co-founded and directed the CivicSpace project for two years. CivicSpace created and supported the first Drupal distribution which was geared towards non-profits and grassroots groups. He is now a partner at ChapterThree LLC.

As a fundraiser Zack is responsible for raising the working capital needed to funds infrastructure and site development work to keep Drupal.org running and also sponsors community events such as twice yearly DrupalCons. The Drupal project is an entirely community driven project. We rely on support from individual donors within our community and corporate Association members to sponsor projects required keep the Drupal community operating smoothly and able to develop the Drupal software open-source and free of charge for all communities around the world.
