Bio

Nedjo has been active in the Drupal community since late 2003. He brings to Drupal twenty years of experience working in the non-profit sector with neighbourhood groups, alternative media, professional associations, student organizations, and environmental and anti-poverty groups. His MA thesis in geography (1995, Simon Fraser University) focused on political ecology and communal land management.

Nedjo served for two years as a senior developer at CivicSpace, heading up development of a custom modular install profile system for Drupal. He has contributed over thirty modules and occasional core patches.

From early on Nedjo has balanced development with a focus on organizational issues, writing the first drafts of Drupal's mission, principles, and structure documents.

Within the Association, he'll focus on removing critical project roadblocks for the development community. While the Drupal Association can't direct or dictate development tasks for the Drupal project itself, this development support role is a great match for its mission.
