The Drupal Association is a non-profit organization focused on accelerating Drupal, fostering the growth of the Drupal community, and supporting the project’s vision to create a safe, secure, and open web for everyone. The Drupal Association also administers Drupal.org on behalf of the Drupal community. 

Leadership

Tim D. sets and executes the organization's strategy by managing the Drupal Association's Board of Directors. He guides their vision and oversees its implementation, while managing the organization's financial health, and overseeing the leadership team. His passion for working at the Drupal Association stems from supporting the Drupal community and contributing to the advancement of the Open Web. With prior experience in regulatory affairs and community development at organizations like State Regulatory Registry LLC and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Tim brings diverse expertise. He's also worked with youth rehabilitation programs and values empathy, trust, and progress. Tim resides near Washington, D.C., with his family.

Tim L. leads the engineering team supporting the Drupal community, maintaining critical services that Drupal relies on, and providing technical solutions to support Drupal Association programs. He joined Drupal in 2006 and joined the Drupal Association in 2014. With expertise in measuring open-source contributions, he's a frequent speaker on tech podcasts. Having built development teams for the social media and healthcare sectors in a prior life, Tim is passionate about the Drupal Association's role as an open-source nonprofit, upholding values of empathy, pragmatism, and openness. Beyond work, he is an author of young adult fiction and enjoys practicing the fiddle or guitar and taking his car on track days.

Julia (she/her) leads the development, implementation, and execution of a comprehensive fundraising program rooted in philanthropic best practices and philosophy to supplement an already strong development program. She is responsible for the new philanthropic aspects of the organization (grants and major donors) and acts as part of the senior leadership team. Julia enjoys connecting changemakers with resources to achieve community-centric philanthropy. Prioritizing technology infrastructure to do her job, Julia is a self proclaimed nerd. She has built multiple open source CRMs and loves collecting, analyzing, and tracking data. Julia lives in Austin with her Great Dane Rex and housecat/demon Mildred Louise. Originally from the Bay Area in California, Julia can be found suffering with the Sharks during the hockey season.

Alejandro is a Technical Architect under contract with the Drupal Association to lead innovation in partnership with the Drupal community. He previously worked as Developer relations at Pantheon and as a Technical Architect and Solutions Architect at Acquia. At the BBC, he led two teams responsible for the delivery and innovation of two of the biggest brands in the corporation: BBC GoodFood and BBC TopGear. Alejandro is based in Madrid, but spends a lot of time in his hometown, in the Mediterranean coast of Alicante. He enjoys WindSurf, Crossfit, and anything sport and sea related.

Brendan joined the Drupal Association in 2013 as an IT manager. Since the transition away from having a physical office, he has grown as a Drupal developer, building and fixing features for Drupal.org and its subsites. Brendan also mentors interns and acts as external Drupal.org support for the Drupal community.

Christina headshotCHRISTINA LOCKHART, Digital Marketing Manager // christinalindner
Christina manages all digital marketing at the Drupal Association, including marketing for DrupalCon North America. She oversees content strategy and creation across ten social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Her prior experience includes serving as the Digital Marketing Director for Brave Wilderness, a wildlife brand with a vast social media following. She holds a BA degree in Communications and an MA in Arts Management. Based in Columbus, Ohio, Christina enjoys traveling, skiing out west, visiting museums, and spending time with her cat, Nikolai.

Dana overseas accounts, tax filings, and onboarding at Drupal Association, as well as supporting the CEO in Board meetings and fundraising. With over ten years of diverse experience in accounting, budgeting, reporting, and data management, Dana holds a Bachelor's in Organizational Communication from Kennesaw State University. Prior to joining the Drupal Association, she assisted C-level executives. Dana resides in Denver, Colorado.

Fran is based in El Puerto de Santa Maria, Cádiz, Spain, and helps with maintaining and upgrading community websites for the Drupal Association. He migrates Drupal 7 sites to Drupal 10 and contributes to the Gitlab acceleration initiative within the Drupal community. With a background in Computer Engineering and teaching, Fran transitioned to web development in 2009, focusing on Drupal since 2012. Outside work, he enjoys running and family hikes, and he used to juggle basketballs, showcasing a unique skill.

Jitka Pilar, based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, manages Drupal Certified and Supporting partners while overseeing the individual membership program at the Drupal Association. Originally from the Czech Republic and Germany, she moved to the United States in 2009 after earning degrees in Economics and International Relations. Prior to this role, Jitka held fundraising positions at global nonprofits such as the American Red Cross and PATH.

Joi Garrett has over ten years experience as a nonprofit manager. She loves working at the Drupal Association, where she uses her extensive background to lead the design and implementation of community centered programs, as well as promotes accountability and awareness around diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Meghan manages and works on all things related to DrupalCon North America. She joined the Drupal Association with a background that includes 17 years of event planning, strategic partnerships, and experiential marketing from her time working with hospitality brands, tech, and various nonprofit companies. With her extensive experience with project management, branding, partnerships, and event planning, she is eager to make an impact at the DA by creating engaging, educational, and most of all, memorable in-person experiences for the community.

Natalie supports account managers and manages partnerships with over 175+ agencies. She oversees Supporting Partner and DrupalCon Sponsorship fulfillment, fostering vital relationships for organizational growth. Previously, she educated and supported pregnant and parenting adolescents at a local nonprofit. Outside work, Natalie enjoys family time, small home projects, and attending University of Arizona gymnastics meets with her daughters.

Neil joined the Drupal Association's Engineering team in 2013 after starting with a Drupal.org upgrade and redesign project in 2008. He plays a pivotal role in improving Drupal.org to aid the community's strategic initiatives, managing technical planning, feature development, and production support. His journey began while pursuing a Computer Science degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he contributed to Howard Dean’s presidential campaign, leading to the creation of a successor project, CivicSpace.

Tanisha (she/her) is a part-time Consultant and a current student at the Strathclyde Business School in Scotland. In her role, she focuses on crafting and analyzing collateral for both digital and print media. She actively collaborates on marketing campaigns, providing support to ensure their success. Outside of work and studies, Tanisha enjoys digital painting, drawing inspiration from her personal experiences.
